Football

When it comes to betting, the most popular sport is by far football in Europe. The number of different betting options is huge. All betting companies naturally offer games on the biggest leagues; Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Champions League and so on. Many betting companies also offer games on smaller leagues across the globe. The variety of the different games is vast, you can bet on match winner, number of goals, asian handicap and many more. During the last few years the phenomena called live betting has seen an increase in popularity. It means that you can bet live during the match, right when it’s being played. Some betting companies also offer, for example; superlive or action betting, like Unibet calls it. This makes it possible to bet on next throwin, or who will win the next ball in tennis. As you can see, the possibilities are nearly endless. At this site we gather fooball free bets and promotions offered from online sportsbooks.

There are more people playing football than any other sport in the world and the rules are very basic. The main objective of the sport is to score at least one more goal than the opposing team. If the team is successful in this, the game results in a win. It is also important to know about the offsiderule, that only the goalkeeper may touch the ball with his hands and what purpose the referee has.The international association of association football, FIFA estimates that more than 240 million play football all over the world. The sport is also important from a democratic perspective, since the only thing you really need to play the sport is a ball. This makes football accessible to nearly everyone from all different classes of society, and this strengthens the sport. The World Cup is arranged every four years, and this is the biggest tournament a player along with his national team can win. The Champions League is the largest one that a club team can win, and this tournament is held every year from autumn through spring. Both the World Cup and the Champions League are heavily viewed events. Along with the World Cup, local continental tournaments are held. The men’s national teams, depending on continent, play in the African Nations Championship, the Asian Football Championship, the European Championship, CONCACAF Gold Cup, OFC, CONMEBOL, the Oceanic Championship and Copa América. The origins of football is a highly debated topic. The British often claim that it originates from the British Isles, but research suggest that it came from elsewhere. Football really established itself as a sport in the early 19th century, especially in England, but it wasn’t until the end of the 19th century that the first national game was played outside the British Isles. Another hot discussion is where the best football is being played. There is of course, no clear answer to that question. However, most are in agreement that the very best football is played in either the Premier League or the Primera División, although others consider the fotball played in the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A to be superior. The UK has produced some excellent players and results over the years. When England were hosting the finals in 1966, it resulted in a victory against West Germany. Some of the most iconic football players in the world has been British; Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, George Best and John Charles, just to name a few household names. The FIFA Ballon d’Or is the world's most prestigious football award. It is handed out yearly, and since 2008 Cristiano Roaldo and Lionel Messi has taken turns in holding this trophy. Three time for Ronaldo and four for Messi. The prize has been given out since 1956. The award has been given out to British players a total of six times; to Sir Stanley Matthews, Denis Law, Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Kevin Keegan and Michael Owen.
