West Ham have had a busy transfer window, offloading a number of players and bringing in some high-profile names.

Argentinian full-back, Pablo Zabaleta joins the Hammers from Man City on a free; the two-time Premier League champion will be playing in front of ex-teammate Joe Hart who joins them on loan after a spell at Torino.

West Ham are hoping they have bought the right Marko Arnautovic from Stoke; the Austrian striker has produced some brilliant performances for the Potter’s but has equally come under fire for inconsistency over the course of the season. The Hammers broke the club record with a £20 million purchase for the Austrian, with the price potentially rising to £25 million.

I think we are all happy to see the return of goal-poacher extraordinaire, Javier Hernandez, to the Premier League. The Mexican joins West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen for £16 million.

So how do the bookies rate them this season?

Well, the bookies have them to finish somewhere between 7th and 10th place, which would be an improvement on last season’s 11th place and would make sense considering they have strengthened the squad and added more firepower up front (remember they still have Carroll).

Relegation odds are 8/1, 9/1 and 10/1 (Ladbrokes and Betway).

To finish in the top 10, it’s an encouraging 5/4, 6/4 and 11/8 whereas to finish in the top 6 it’s  10/1 and 16/1.

It doesn’t look good though for their first game of the season, away at Manchester United, where they are on at between 9/1 and 12/1(BetVictor) to win.

It’s going to be interesting to see, who, out of the big-name strikers will win the club’s golden boot this year. Javier Hernandez is currently favourite with Ladbrokes offering 1/2, Coral 4/7 and Betway  8/13.

Andy Carroll is on at 5/1, 9/2 and 5/1 with the same bookies, whilst Marko Arnautovic is on at 6/1 with all three.
