Last time Sweden failed to qualify for the World Cup was in the 2013 World Cup 2014 playoffs against Portugal. Ibra after the game said:
"It was probably [my] last attempt to reach the World Cup with the national team for me," said Ibrahimovic. "One thing is for sure, a World Cup without me is nothing to watch.
Well, Ladbrokes reckon we can turn on our TVs and fill the stadiums as Ibra looks set to return according to a recent shift in odds.
Sweden overcame Italy in the playoffs in a heroic defensive display at the San Siro on Monday. Afterwards Ibrahimovic posted "we are Zweden" on social media.
Ladbrokes now have the hulking Swedish striker as evens to reach the tournament.
Zlatan should be making a club comeback from injury next month, so will probably have had half a season under his belt for Manchester United before he could potentially join the Swedish troop in Russia next year.
England will be hoping he doesn't make it. If they're drawn against the Swedes there will be painful memories of him putting four past them in Stockholm.
