Netherlands vs Sweden - 10/10/2017 7.45PM (GMT+1)
Netherlands face an almost impossible task to qualify for the playoffs. They will need to beat Sweden 7-0. Even Arjen Robben, the captain, has come out and said qualification is 'not realistic'.
The Dutch had won 3-1 away at Belarus but Sweden's 8-0 thrashing of Luxembourg gave the Swedes a twelve goal superior goal difference.
Ironically enough, Dick Advocaat had been asked if he thought Sweden would win by that exact margin before the game - to which he responded: “They won’t win 8-0. What a stupid question! I don’t believe that.”
There is not doubt though that The Netherlands will throw everything at this game. Ladbrokes has given this game a price boost for:
Netherlands v Sweden - Netherlands to win and 4 or more goals in the match was 11/4 now 10/3.
It's a tempting offer considering the original odds were 11/4 and that a talented Dutch team will be giving it their all.
At bookies bonuses, we feel this is a good offer but less likely than their other offer for the Portugal game, simply because Sweden will also be up for this game and will be desperate not to let this opportunity slip. Beating the Swedes would be one thing, but scoring four against them will be very difficult.
Portugal vs Switzerland - 10/10/2017 7.45PM (GMT+1)
This offer we would recommend over the first.
Portugal v Switzerland - Ronaldo to score & Portugal to win was 6/5 now 11/8
Switzerland currently top Group B with 27 points. Portugal are currently second with 24 points.
Now, because Portugal have a superior goal difference if they win they will qualify automatically. However if they draw or lose then they will be heading to the playoffs.
Ronaldo has scored in seven out of the nine games they have played so far in qualification.
They have only lost one game and that was the first game of the campaign in Switzerland.
We think Portugal stand a good chance of winning this game at home and if they do score, it's highly likely that Ronaldo will be the man to do so.
