20Bet might be just the right fit for you if you like betting on many different sports, niche sports or esports.

In addition, 20Bet has a great list of casino games for the recreational punter.

I am not going to keep you waiting, here is my overall rating of 20Bet, so you can see if it is the right fit for your betting needs.

  • Has a mobile app
  • Good selection of sports to bet on
  • Good first deposit bonus
  • Great number of casino games
  • Okay existing customer bonuses
  • Withdrawal limits are a little low, but still good
  • Bonus claiming is automatic
  • Overall: 9/10 - RECOMMENDED ✅✅

20Bet Welcome Bonus

Up to €100 in Free Bets

The time has come - you have finally considered opening a 20Bet account, but need to see an unbiased and trustworthy review first, for that little extra push to help you make the right decision for you.

This bonus is for new players only!

To begin with, here is a short DO-NOT-do list, to help you avoid some common pitfalls other bettors have faced:

Do-NOT list

  • Do NOT bet on Outrights, as they do not count towards the turnover requirements
  • Do NOT try to withdraw before completing the full wagering requirement, as that will void your bonus and winnings
  • Do NOT place all your ACCA bets on 1 event, as that does not count toward the bonus

Step-by-step guide to claim the full 20Bet sports bonus

Here is my explain-it-like-I-am-5 type of guide, which will show each step you need to take, to take FULL advantage of the sign-up bonus and be sure you can withdraw your winnings without complications and confusion about the wagering requirements.

Step 1: Deposit 100 CHF and you will receive 100 CHF as a bonus

Step 2: Bet the bonus amount 5 times in accumulator bets, with at least 2 selections and minimum combined odds of 2.00.
You have 7 days to wager the bonus, so plan strategically when you want to do it, around events you care about!

Step 3: Once you complete the wagering requirements, the remaining bonus amount will be transferred to your account

Step 4: Provide ID and other documents to verify your identity before you can withdraw and GOAAAL, you can withdraw your funds

Keep in mind that:

  1. You need to complete KYC procedures before withdrawing is allowed (as listed in Step 4 above)

  2. If your bets are returned, cancelled, resulted in a draw or are free bets, they do not count towards the wagering requirements

  3. Bonus is cancelled if your active funds fall below 0.05 CHF

In my opinion, the turnover requirements are tricky but fair.

The bonus is more of a good addition to your bet, so consider it that way.

If you are someone who regularly places accumulator bets, you wouldn’t even notice any difference, while if it is your first time, and you feel uncomfortable placing bets you don’t fully understand yet, here is a simpler bonus another bookmaker, which we recommend has to offer - check out our review of Bahigo in Switzerland.

Is 20Bet legal in Switzerland?

With the Swiss government trying to protect its bettors, many online bookmakers have been added to the GESPA blacklist.

However, the reasons behind the “ban” and the outcomes are less than ideal, despite the good intentions.

There is NO punishment for Swiss players who bet on international websites, so you can do so with peace of mind.

Please note, that this is not legal advice and I am not a solicitor, so please contact a lawyer if you have any reservations about using international bookies in Switzerland!

Here is a link to the official website where you can read more about the Federal Act on Gambling.

What Switzerland’s “legal” and not blacklisted bookmakers lack is access to non-major league events, smaller games, niche markets and decent betting options.

The reason for the blacklist stems from the fear of lack of transparency, fixed matches, corruption and unfair odds that bookmakers could offer players.

However, here at Bookies Bonuses, we have dedicated our focus to finding and offering trustworthy, reliable and licenced betting operators, who are legal in other countries.

This is where international, licenced and transparent betting websites come in.

20Bet is one of them.

The same situation and legality of betting applies towards betting sites in Luxembourg, as 20Bet accepts players who reside there, as long as they manage to access the website.

Existing player bonuses

If you are someone who is looking for a betting site to use long-term, which also provides regular existing player bonuses and rewards active punters, you are in the right place.

20Bet has regular bonuses to offer to players who have gone through the first deposit bonus and want more free bets.

Here is a list of 20Bet’s existing customer bonuses for 2023:

  1. Saturday Reload Bonus 100% up to 100 CHF
This bonus is available every week and is for customers who have placed a bet of at least 5 CHF of their own money (not a free bet) during the week - on Saturday you can deposit between 10 and 100 Swiss francs and get 100% match on your deposit in free bets, which last 2 days!
You can only use the free bet on a Multibet with at least 3 stakes.

  2. Sport VIP program
Each month you earn 1 “compoint” (CP) for every 3 CHF spent on a bet with at least 1.3 odds.
There are 6 levels and they each award you extra CP points upon achieving them.
At the end of the month, the levels and points reset and for every 100 points you have, you receive 1 CHF.
To illustrate, if you wager 1000 CHF in December (odds 1.3+) you will have 333.33 CP, which at the end of the month will convert to 3.33 CHF.
But you would have also levelled up to level 2, which awards 150 extra CP - another 1.5 CHF in free bets.
You might bet more or less, but use this example as an illustration for your calculations.

  3. Skrill deposit 25% bonus up to 50 CHF
    If you like using Skrill
as your main payment method, you can benefit from the extra 25% deposit bonus every day.
To receive the maximum bonus you can deposit 200 CHF and get 50 in free bets.
The wagering requirement for the bonus is 5x the bonus amount in ACCA bets with minimum total odds of 2.0 and you have 7 days to do it.
This bonus is perfect for regular players who like to use Skrill.

  4. Odds booster
If you are into multibet building, this boost is just for you.
Here is the breakdown - bet your own money on 3 or more events (odds 1.2+ each) and the odds booster will increase your odds and winnings.
You can select up to 20 events and the maximum payout boost is 2x your profits.

What about the website experience?

As we all know, professional and serious bookmakers take great care to provide the best possible experience for their users.

They do it because they know we will click off their website if it’s not up to par.

So what can we say about 20Bet’s website?

Launched in 2020 and owned by TechSolutions N.V., with a licence issued by Curacao, 20Bet’s site is nothing short of awesomeness.

The navigation feels great and with minimal clicks, I was able to find every match I wanted to bet on.

At the time of writing, November 2022, the World Cup is raging with fans rushing to place their bets on their favourite teams, and the way 20Bet accommodates this surge in demand is by placing the biggest events on the home page, where I was quickly able to wager on Saudi to beat Argentina… What an upset I know, but I had a feeling and gave the underdog a chance, please don’t eat me alive for it!

The mobile website is well-made and boasts an easy-to-use interface, where the navigation is not a problem and every event is within a second’s reach.

What’s more, 20Bet has a page on the website which leads to a downloadable file of their mobile application.

So if you are one of the people who demand an app to deem a bookmaker good, there you have it!

Here are a few screenshots of the 20Bet site I took on my Samsung Galaxy S21:

Does 20Bet have a lot of betting markets to offer?

Here is a comparison between the available markets for football matches on 20Bet vs bet365:

Game20betbet365

Brentford vs Tottenham

823

72

Crystal Palace vs Fulham

820

72

Leicester City vs Newcastle

823

72

Southampton vs Brighton

820

72

It is important to know that 20Bet counts every outcome as an outcome, so the number 800+ doesn't realistically reflect the right number of betting markets.

I counted the number of markets for a few of the games and it came out to be around 70.

Nonetheless, 20Bet is competing with bet365 and isn't losing the front!

With hundreds of available games and outcomes, you are sure to find something to wager on!

Payout margin

I calculated the payout rates of a few competitors of 20Bet in Switzerland, by looking at three-way market odds on November 21st.

Let’s look at a table of some recent payout margins from bookies we trust:

BookmakerPayout

bet365

89.11%

Bahigo

89.24%

20Bet

90.00%

Rabona

90.93%

20Bet offers on average 90% payouts on international football matches, as of November 2022.

Of course, as the events get closer to taking place, both odds and payout margins change, so only use this as a reference!

Sports selection available on 20Bet

Let’s look at a list of all 37 featured sports on 20Bet below:

  • Soccer

  • Tennis

  • Basketball

  • Table Tennis

  • Ice Hockey

  • Volleyball

  • Baseball

  • American Football

  • Handball

  • Alpine Skiing

  • Athletics

  • Aussie Rules

  • Biathlon

  • Bowls

  • Boxing

  • ESport Counter-Strike

  • ESport Dota

  • ESoccer (FIFA)

  • Cricket

  • Curling

  • Darts

  • Floorball

  • Futsal

  • Gaelic Football

  • Gaelic Hurling

  • Golf

  • Indy Racing

  • Kabaddi

  • MMA

  • Motorcycling

  • Rugby

  • Ski Jumping

  • Snooker

  • Specials (Political outcomes, Events, Awards)

  • Speedway

  • Stock Car Racing

  • Waterpolo

20Bet offers a solid list of sports and events to bet on and I can be almost certain that the bookie will overdeliver on the needs of most Swiss bettors.

Are there esports on 20Bet?

I am happy that yet another bookmaker offers esports entertainment and betting possibilities.

20Bet allows bettors to place wagers on 3 esport titles as of January 2023 - Dota, CS:GO and FIFA.

While there are only a handful of e-titles to choose from, namely Dota, CS:GO and FIFA, I hope that the site adds more titles to its collection, so we can bet on other games and have access to more matches.

Any Virtual Sports on 20Bet?

20Bet does not currently offer any virtual sports betting, and as such if you are looking for the occasional punt on a midnight-snack-game, you’ll have better luck checking out bet365 as they feature virtual sports.

Here is a link to our review of Sportaza, where you can read about their virtual sports offers, if you want to find more specific information about which sports are featured and how it all works.

User Experience

The 20Bet website, its mobile version and the mobile application are all fantastic, very user-friendly and optimised.

Finding matches is easy-peasy and the betting options are almost endless.

But, of course you expected a but, after all that hyping up, to be able to watch events live you need to be logged into the site and to be able to play the casino games for fun with no stakes attached, you still need to be logged in.

I would have loved to see 20Bet give new users the chance to “try-it-before-you-buy-it”, but registration costs nothing and takes minutes, so might as well do it and test the product for yourself!

Live World Cup matches offer an animated in-play field, so you can follow the ball, without all the running and camera angle changes.

For a change, you can use this feature without logging in, so it saves some time.

In-Play betting on 20Bet?

While 20Bet offers live betting for its matches, website visitors are not able to view the live broadcast without logging in.

Apart from that, live betting is the industry norm at this point, and 20Bet does a fantastic job at facilitating punters’ bets as the action unfolds.

Odds format

20Bet offers the option to easily and quickly change the format of the displayed odds, by going to the settings on top of the page.

Here are all 6 available odds formats:

  • Decimals format

  • American format

  • Fractional format

  • Malaysian odds

  • Indonesian odds

  • Hong Kong odds

Customer Support

24/7 Live chat support and email support

20Bet offers support in 16 languages, so you are sure to find what you are looking for, no matter which language you speak.

Here is my personal experience - I contacted the live chat support at 16:24 and there was 0 wait time, but the agent didn't answer my question properly.

The next day I contacted live chat again at 9:30 in the morning and didn’t have to wait before receiving a response.

The customer support agent was kind and responded quickly.

I asked the second agent to confirm the withdrawal limits for me because the website says they are 4000 CHF per day and 10000 per week.

Here are a few screenshots from my last conversation:

20Bet customer support screenshots

If you don’t have time to chat at the moment, or prefer emails, there is email customer support available, which aims to get back to you within 24 hours.

I personally prefer being able to quickly ask questions and provide detailed answers, in case the support agent needs extra information to solve my issue.

20Bet Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

What I like about this bookmaker is the abundance of payment options available.

Another great trait of 20Bet is that they are moving with the times and allow users to deposit and withdraw funds with cryptocurrencies.

Does 20Bet have casino games?

You can bet it does (see what I did there?).

With over 4390+ slot games, 275+ jackpot games and hundreds of others in different categories, you can spend hours going through the games, trying them out and seeing which one is your favourite.

20Bet casino bonus - 100% up to 120 CHF

So if they have thousands of games, they must want people to play them, right? Correct!

This is why 20Bet wants to entice new users to roll the dice (smirk) with a good 100% bonus up to 120 Swiss francs.

If you want a guide on how to claim the casino bonus you have come to the perfect place!

I know you hate spending 20 minutes just reading the small font of the Terms & Conditions pages, and so do I, but here - I did it for you. AND made it make sense.

Here is my step-by-step guide on how to successfully claim the full 20Bet casino bonus:

Step 1: Click the link and register at 20Bet

Step 2: Deposit up to 120 CHF to receive another fr. 120 as a bonus

Step 3: Receive 120 free spins over 4 days - you will get 30 spins a day for 4 days

Step 4: Wager the free spins winnings 40 times, to “unlock” them

Please note that:

Slots contribute 100% towards the turnover requirements.

Before playing a game, make sure it counts towards the wagering total, by going to the bottom of the 20Bet page > About 20Bet > Bonuses - General Terms and once there look up the name of the game you want to check.

- For Windows press Ctrl+F to open the finder.

- For Mac press command+F.

- On your phone go to the browser options and click “Find on page” or similar.

If you see the game you wanted to play on this list, sadly it is excluded and does not count towards the wagering requirements… I know right?!

Still, there are 4000+ games to choose from, so you’ll be able to find the perfect game, which counts.

FAQ - 20Bet

Is 20Bet trusted?

Yes! At Bookies Bonuses you will only find verified and trusted brands, which offer legit and fair odds, timely payouts and great customer support.

The Curacao Gaming Commission has issued a licence for 20Bet and here is their registration number - 8048/JAZ2017-067.

If we trust 20Bet, you can rest assured that you can trust them too.

Is 20Bet legal in Switzerland?

In short - it depends on who is asking the question.

For players from Switzerland, although this is no legal advice, you can register and play at 20Bet without consequences.

The illegal part comes from the GESPA blacklist which has listed all international bookmakers, even the biggest ones such as bet365 or Betfair!

All that would matter to you is that you need to pay taxes on your profits, that’s all.

Does 20Bet have a mobile app?

Yes! I cannot believe how many other reviews claim the bookmaker doesn’t offer an application, when it is clearly on the first page when you go to 20Bet.

Does 20Bet have a free APK download?

If you follow this link and register with 20Bet, you will find a QR code where you can download the 20Bet app for free.

Don’t worry, it’s a secure link, and since the app is on the official 20Bet site, you can be double sure.

Does 20Bet have a bonus code?

No. You don’t need a bonus code to receive the bonus on 20Bet.com.

You will automatically receive the bonus if you meet the requirements listed in this review.

I have made it simple to follow and hopefully clear enough for you to successfully claim the full bonus.

Final Verdict

20Bet has managed to secure its place in the top when it comes to bookmakers in Switzerland. What would make it even better is an improved sports welcome bonus, with single bets allowed in the wagering requirements and with lower minimal odds. But nonetheless, the bookmaker is great for novice and experienced players alike!

With competitive odds and a great user-friendly website, the new contender is ready to take the bull by the horns, climb the Alps and win the hearts of the Swiss.
