FedEx Open De France - Boyle Sports Boosts

Le Golf National hosts the FedEx Open de France this week, with a total of 144 players looking for victory, alongside Race To Dubai and Ryder Cup points.

The current course record is a -9 under par, 62, set by Eduardo Romero in 2005, and has been equalled three times since.

The Par 71 course, plays to around 7,365 yards, with the 18th, Par 4 featuring an island style, peninsula green guarded by water. Opened in 1990, the course was designed by architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert von Hagge, in collaboration with Pierre Thevenin.

Ludvig Aberg (7/1) is one of a trio of co-favourites for the event. The Swede had been in great US form, placing T9, T7, T16 and T4 at the Tour Championship. He returned from a fortnight off, by placing T27 at the BMW PGA Championship last week, but I feel his game will be better suited here in France.

Tommy Fleetwood (7/1) returned to Wentworth hoping to improve on his poor record there, but failed to make the cut. He posted a T11 at the Tour Championship prior, so the question is, can we simply ignore a course he struggles at, or are the more fundamental issues at play.

Matt Fitzpatrick (7/1) is the last of the trio of co-favourites, with the Englishman recording a T6 at the BMW PGA Championship last week, to make it a fourth consecutive Top 30 finish, finishing just three of the winner, JJ Spaun. he is on an upwards course in terms of form and has a huge chance here.
