Cadillac Championship - Boyle Sports Boosts

The PGA Tour returns to regular action after the team-based event at the Zurich Classic, as 72 players take on the Blue Monster course at Doral, a Trump National venue.

The "Blue Monster plays to a total yardage of 7,602 and to a Par 72, with water featuring at almost every one of the 18 holes, while deep bunkers and undulating greens make for a challenging round of golf for the pros.

The course record is a 61 (-11), achieved by Stephen Ames in 2000

The course was originally designed by Dick Wilson in 1962, with Gil Hanse offering a redesign in 2014 to maintain the challenge that was originally intended.

72 players are invited to the event, and with no cut in place, it should make for an interesting betting event. Despite the reduction in selections, Boyle Sports are still offering 10 PLACES on the event, with a further 12 places available via "Pick Your Place".

As this is a relaunch of an old event, we won't be looking at the past winner, but for reference, Adam Scott (22/1) won the last time it was played back in 2016.

The favourite for the event is Scottie Scheffler (5/2), with the American expected to dominate proceedings. Has just the single victory this season, which is below his super high standards, but has placed second in his last two outings (four Top 5s this season) and looks on the cusp of another winning run. Its rare that a course doesn't suit his game at the moment, but the Blue Monster looks a great fit.

Cam Young (17/2) come in next, with The Players' winner returning from a well-earned break, having also picked up two T3s and a T7 during that period. A Top 25 at the RBC Heritage was no more than fine for the talented American, but his current ranking of second in Total Driving, may propel him to victory on one of the tours longest tracks.

Collin Morikawa (14/1) leads the best of the chasing pack, with the 29-yo picking up a win and four Top 10s in the last six starts. His withdrawal from The Players' due to a back injury was a concern, but a T7 and T4 since have allayed fears. Assuming his back is healthy, he will be up there once more.

Chris Gotterup (16/1) has not quite been able to repeat the early victories, but he showed that his form has not dipped too much, when placing T6 at the Houston Open. He followed with successive Top 25s, including The Masters, and could benefit from his big hitting off the tee at Doral.

Russell Henley (16/1) has missed two cuts this season, but if he makes the weekend, he is usually dialled in, picking up seven Top 25 finishes, including a superb T3 at Augusta National. Second on tour for Driving Accuracy, which bodes well here.
