Tournament Preview
The PGA Tour returns to North American soil, after the Open Championship, with 144 players taking part in the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities, Minneapolis.
TPC Twin Cities is an Arnold Palmer designed course, opening back in 2000, with assistance from Tom Lehman, a native of the area.
The course record is a 60 (-11) scored Adam Svensson & Kurt Kitayama in last year's event.
It's a Par 71, spanning 7,431 yards, with the Par 4, 7th hole, the signature hole on the course, known as Tom's Thumb, after Tom Lehman.
144 players take part at TPC Twin Cities, with Boyle Sports offering 10 PLACES on the event, thus offering room for manoeuvre in the markets.
Kurt Kitayama (18/1) is the current holder, having won the event by a single stroke, ahead of Samuel Stevens. he comes in as second favourite, but has a superb record here, having debuted a T6 in 2024. Joint course record holder and averages 66.5 across eight rounds.
The red-hot favourite for the event is a certain Scottie Scheffler (12/5), who bounced back from a rare missed cut in the Scottish Open, to place T4 at Royal Birkdale and secure a tenth Top 4 finish or better. The surprising stat is that he only has one tour win this season, but once again, he looks the man to beat, if on form.
Maverick McNealy (18/1) is joint second-favourite, and will be hoping to justify that status, having failed to really nail down a performance this season. Two Top 10s, including the Memorial Tournament, have shown glimpses, but he will need to bounce back from the missed cut at Royal Birkdale last week.
Hideki Matsuyama (22/1) continued his solid form since returning from injury, with a second successive T14 at The Open, which could have been even better, if not for the 72 in the opening round. Capable on a course like this and will hope to improve on his recent results still further.
Tom Kim (22/1) followed his victory in the Scottish Open with a missed cut at the main event, which has been the way this season. Despite that result, the T3 at the US Open and victory in Scotland will have boosted confidence greatly, so a bounce back is more than possible for the Korean.
Remaining Top 10 In The Betting:
- Jackson Kaivun - 25/1
- Keith Mitchell - 25/1
- Jake Knapp - 28/1
- Corey Conners - 30/1
- Doug Ghim - 30/1
- Jordan Smith - 30/1
- 33/1 Bar

This Week's Golf Tips

Tips:
The Open was a disappointment, with Collin Morikawa's T18 the best of the trio. So, let's try and scrub that from the memory and pick another trio for this 3M Open, with 10 places available,
- Tom Kim - Each-Way (10 Places) @22/1 - Disappointing at The Open, but still in great form and can bounce back in style here.
- Jordan Smith - Pick Your Place (12 Places) @28/1 - T21 or better in 3 of last 4 events, and will be buoyed by the T18 at Royal Birkdale.
- Lucas Glover - Pick Your Place (12 Places) @55/1 - T3 and T5 in his last two starts and with many stars resting, can continue that run here.
