The BetRivers Sportsbook is a solid choice. There are a few things we like but also many things we wish were different.

Firstly, the BetRivers Sportsbook has a wide selection of sports and leagues to bet on. Everything you'd expect to find from the NBA to NFL and NCAA sports is found in the menu plus tons of smaller sports from NASCAR and Cycling to Australian Rules, Cricket, UFC, and much more.

BetRivers offers odds boosts, live betting, live streaming, teasers, buy out (cash out), parlays, pre-packs (predetermined parlays), and even a bet builder (to create your own same game parlay) on certain events.

This is definitely something we appreciate although we'd like to see these options for more sports events.

The other nice thing about the BetRivers Sportsbook is the extensive stats, betting tips, and "Genius Predictions" offered on most sporting events - if you're new to betting these insights can definitely help you to place more informed bets.

The navigation of BetRivers is also odd, there seems to be logic to the order of sports and events found in the menu with small betting markets like the WNBA and soccer featured above things like the NFL and NHL.

BetRivers also shows you every bet placed on their site in the Newsfeed - which is one of the most pointless and annoying betting sites features we've seen.

The BetRivers app has a lot of potential, but doesn't match up to the top-tier apps in the US. . 

Reasons for this include the fact that the BetRivers app is available on the App Store for iOS devices in some states but not others where the BetRivers Android app can be found on the PlayStore in some states but has to be downloaded from the BetRivers website in others.

The BetRivers app also has unintuitive navigation, is slow to load and the graphics look outdated 

This is the opposite of what you want from a betting app when you have a smaller screen and a trying to place bets quickly.

We also don't like the Newsfeed section on the app which doesn't really serve a purpose and it can be annoying to create teasers and parlays on the BetRivers app because whenever you make a selection your betslip opens.

The BetRivers app still has the same odds, promos and features of the BetRivers website though so if you ignore these points it's still a decent option.

The BetRivers iOS app is available in all states except Michigan while Connecticut players will find that the PlaySugarHouse app is also available. The iOS BetRivers app can be downloaded from the App store and is secured using industry-standard SSL encryption technology.

Players from Michigan will not find a BetRivers iOS app yet.

The BetRivers Android app is much like the BetRivers iOS app in that it's clunky and hard to use but still contains all of the features you'd expect from BetRivers Sportsbook. The BetRivers Android app is available on the Google Play Store in all states except New York

If you're in New York, the BetRivers Android app is not yet available.

BetRivers has a few nice promotions but compared to some other US betting sites they are less lucrative, creative, and valuable for players.

BetRivers promotions are more frequent in certain states and in others, they are pretty hard to come by

The BetRivers customer service team is available by phone, email, or live chat but hours of operation are restricted to 9:30am through 2am EST no matter which BetRivers state you live in.

After contacting the BetRivers support team and using the help center we found some of the answers to be outdated, the phone number and email addresses were hard to find, and we weren't that impressed with the level of knowledge that BetRivers' customer service staff had - they were friendly though.

All in all, we got the feeling that live chat and online tickets were preferred by BetRivers which is a little disappointing given that many players would like to speak to a real staff member by phone.
