Is The CopyBet Sign-Up Offer Any Good?

The CopyBet welcome offer of Bet £10 Get £50 in free bets is one of the best sign-up offers around. At the time of writing, there are only a handful of Bet 10 Get 40 promotions available, but how does this offer stack up against other Bet and Get promotions in general?

In terms of the initial sign-up requirement, the £10 qualifying bet isn't anything too surprising and is exactly the same as other Bet & Get offers, however, those looking for a smaller initial outlay should try Sky Bet or Coral, who both require a £5 deposit, albeit for a smaller bonus.

In terms of free bets, CopyBet offers 5 x £10 free bets and like other similar offers by BetVictor, SpreadEx, BetFred and BetMGM, they are limited to specific bet types.

Ongoing Promotions

CopyBet goes for quality rather than quantity when it comes to ongoing promotions for players, with several options available, including a no deposit, free bet and more. See below for further details.

ACCA BONUS

ACCUMULATOR BONUS

Acca bonuses are quite commonplace nowadays, with CopyBet no exception offering up to 20% as a bonus to winning accas!

To qualify, players simply create and bet on a 5+ selection or more accumulator, and if it wins, receive the relative bonus as displayed below.

Although the acca bonus isn't quite as high as those available at bet365, which offers up to 70%, it is still nice to get extra rewards for your hard work!

Win up to 20% more, if your 5+ selection acca wins at CopyBet

WEEKLY FREE BET CHALLENGE

CopyBet also offers what they call the "Weekly Challenge" which ultimately is a weekly free bet offer for ongoing players beginning each Thursday at 10:00am.

Simply opt-in to the challenge, via the "Weekly Challenge" section on the website or mobile browser, or find it via the "Promo" tab.

Once done, players must place £30 of bets on single markets only at minimum odds of Evens (2.0) or more. Bets must settle to qualify and any free bets do not count towards this promotion.

Once qualified, players will receive a free £5 bet.

The free bet offer isn't as strong as those available at Sky Bet or Paddy Power but it is always nice to get something back from your bookmaker.

CopyBet's Free Bet Weekly Challenge Offer

CopyBet Tipsters

CopyBet offers a unique take on betting, with the addition of "tipsters" who can be followed.

Similar to how financial sites such as eToro let users follow and copy a particular investor, players can do the same and copy a tipster at CopyBet. A tipsters record is on display for all to see, so players can choose to "invest" based on the recent form.

Once followed, a player will need to deposit funds into their CopyBet account and any bets made by the tipster will be duplicated for you.

Copy Bet Tipster statistics

Users can follow tipsters at CopyBet and match their bets to potentially make profit, without the heavy lifting.

Players run the risk of making losses, as well as potentially profiting, but a handy loss limit option is available for more cautious players.

Tipsters are ranked by profit made and the amount of risk on their bets, so players can search and find more risk-averse tipsters to follow. It should also be noted that the majority of tipsters are free to follow, but some do charge a fee, which is automatically removed from your funds.

CopyBet & Sportsbook Accounts Are Separate!

Players should be aware, that once you have signed up to CopyBet, you technically have three wallets attached to your profile. A general wallet, plus CopyBet and sportsbook wallets.

Funds can be deposited or withdrawn from all three of these wallets, however, you cannot fund a sports bet using CopyBet wallet funds or visa versa. Likewise, funds in the general wallet have to be transferred before being able to be used.

Betting Features

CopyBet plays host to some 32 different sports, along with entertainment and political markets. However, a sportsbook is only as good as its features, so what can we expect at CopyBet?

BET BUILDER

CopyBet's bet builder is easily one of the better options around, opening in a separate window to make navigation easy and straightforward.

The bet builder is available for Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey and American Football, offering 30+ markets, depending on the sport and how popular the contest is.

CopyBets bet builder is one of the easiest I have ever used but does lack the markets that other sites feature.

Creating and placing the bet can be done in seconds, while those looking for some assistance can also find pre-made bet builder selections onsite, with several daily recommendations available.

The bet builder doesn't quite reach the heights of its bigger brand rivals such as bet365 or Betway in terms of the sheer amount of markets available, but it does a great job overall.

The Copy Bet bet builder opens in a separate window and is exceptionally easy to use and navigate

The CopyBet bet builder opens in a separate window to make selection much easier and quicker too!

ACCUMULATORS

Accumulator betting is an important aspect of any sportsbook and at CopyBet, players have a competent acca option available.

Players can create their acca easily and across multiple sports, while those who want a bit of assistance can try one of the pre-made accas offered by CopyBet. The pre-made accas tend to qualify for the Acca Bonus, which offers bonus winnings of 5+ acca selections.

IN-PLAY BETTING

In-play betting is very good at CopyBet, with some sports having over 30+ markets available in-game, spanning everything from Football to Table Tennis. The only downside to the in-play betting at CopyBet, is the lack of bet builder option, which is available at other sites such as SpreadEx.

CASH-OUT

CopyBet's cash-out function is solid, with the regular cash-out option available on pre-game and in-play selections, while a partial cash-out option can be used on pre-game bets only.

Betting Experience

Betting and the overall user experience at CopyBet can be classed as good, with 32 sports to bet upon, plus a "specials" market for entertainment and political betting sections. CopyBet prides itself on the number of markets available, stating it has on average around 18,000 markets at any given time!

The main focus of the sportsbook is football, while many popular sports are featured, including horse racing, tennis and snooker. Fans of American sports are also well catered for with plenty of NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL markets during their relative calendars, while those who enjoy a more niche sport can find chess, pelota and ski jumping among the more obscure events to bet upon.

NAVIGATION

The site is a little convoluted for players and does take a little getting used to.

In-Play, Pre-Match. Racing and Tipster headings offer quick navigation, while player details and deposit options are available on the right side of the screen, however, when visiting the "pre-match" menu things get a little confusing.

As can be seen below, the menu isn't very intuitive, showing a market for an event that at the time of writing was 11 months away! Thankfully, the quick links above let me navigate to my chosen sports, but generally, it isn't ideal, with the mobile app providing a better option for site navigation.

Copybet pre match screen

CopyBet Pre-Match screen is a little confusing on first inspection.

PLACING BETS

Selecting and placing bets is relatively straightforward, with selections added to your betslip, while special mention should go to the bet builder, which opens a secondary window when looking to create a bet.

Betting options are pretty much what is expected nowadays, with everything from singles, doubles and Yankees catered for, depending on the type of market available.

Overall, placing bets is straightforward and simple, although as noted here, using your funds in the first place, can be tricky at CopyBet!

Horse Racing Betting

Horse Racing betting at CopyBet is arguably the biggest disappointment of all, with a lacklustre experience for players in general.

Although UK & Irish meetings are covered, there is a distinct lack of international markets, with no other options available.

In terms of betting markets, all the usual doubles, trebles, forecasts and system bets are available, however, there is a lack of specialist markets, such as winning distance markets, place insurance or adding extra places to bets, while in general there are no "money back specials" or enhanced odds options, which again sums up the bare bones feel to race betting at CopyBet.

Racecards are rudimentary at best, with silks and basic information available, however, the lack of a Racing Post or Timeform race preview or extra information about the runners means users will have to go somewhere else for more information.

The final nail in the coffin for its horse racing section is the lack of live streaming, with no option available.

Copybet's racing coverage isn't awful by any means, but compared to the likes of Bet365 or BetVictor, it is a hard sell and one that is difficult to make for race punters.

Football Betting

Football betting is very much CopyBet's crown jewel, with events from 59 countries available, along with continental tournaments and international matches.

Upon entering the football section, players are greeted with the next Ballon D'or betting as opposed to upcoming matches, rather than upcoming games. To the left are the various tournaments and leagues which once clicked upon, reveal available matches and ultimately seem like an unnecessary step to get to where I want to be.

Matches at Copybet can have as many as 400+ markets to bet upon!

Those looking for useful tidbits of information will be disappointed, as there are no stats available on teams, head-to-head results or even recent form.

When it comes to markets available, CopyBet steps up well, with over 400+ to choose from on a UEFA Champions League tie between PSG and Newcastle United, with everything from total goals, throw-ins and yellow cards to Asian handicaps included.

Admittedly, smaller contests do have fewer markets, but a seventh-tier English game between Dulwich Hamlet and Potters Bar still had just shy of 40 markets available, which is pretty impressive.

CopyBet's bet builder function is good, if not quite up with the bigger brands in terms of market options, but Premier League matches can have as many as 40 markets to bet upon, with smaller matches once again offering fewer. However, the bet builder isn't just limited to big European or UK leagues, with Argentina Primera Division, MLS and even French Ligue 2 matches available.

In terms of promotions, CopyBet doesn't provide too many options, with enhanced odds available on bigger matches and an acca boost, which offers up to 20% on winnings for 5+ selections or more. There are no "money back" promotions on offer, so users looking for those sorts of offers, may want to check out QuinnBet or Paddy Power instead.

Overall, CopyBet's football coverage is very good, in terms of games and markets available, but it does fall short of being great, thanks to its lack of promotions, navigation issues and a bet builder that doesn't quite match its bigger-named rivals.

E-Sports And Other Markets

First things first, CopyBet provides no betting markets on e-sports or virtual sports. So players looking for the latest CS:GO markets will probably want to visit Midnite instead.

Likewise for virtual sports, if you like the idea of virtual horse racing and more, then BetVictor or Betfred can fill that gap.

Those looking to bet upon Tennis, Snooker, Cricket and Darts are well covered, with international and local events featured and with a solid range of markets available, including in-play.

As hinted at earlier in this review, fans of the big American sports will be especially pleased, with NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL all offering a solid range of markets and a bet builder, which includes player props.

Although there are no e-sports or even virtual sports to bet upon, those looking for something outside of sports to bet upon can find markets on the Emmys and BBC SPOTY, while political markets are available for US, UK and Irish elections.

Live Streaming / Virtual Feed

Unfortunately, CopyBet does not feature live streaming of events at this time, but for a relatively new sportsbook, this isn't too much of a surprise.

However, this could be an issue for horse racing fans especially, those who have become used to the bigger brands showing live races.

It does however provide virtual feeds of games, giving ball position on the pitch/court and a few match stats, however during my time on site, the virtual feed window was broken across all live sports, failing to work on both desktop and the dedicated mobile app.

How Good Is The CopyBet Mobile App?

CopyBet has a dedicated app for both iOS and Android devices, but there are teething problems.

In terms of betting on sports and following tipsters, the mobile app does a significantly better job in terms of navigation, but once again, the payment system itself causes problems, with the ability to deposit and withdraw from three separate wallets likely to continue to cause exacerbation, especially on a small screen.

The multi-wallet system at CopyBet doesn't lend itself well to the mobile app.

Elsewhere, virtual streaming was not working on mobile, during the review, although this was site-wide and on desktop too. Presentation on the app is great, with clear labels, while searching for specific events was competent, if unremarkable and placing a bet was without issue.

Accessing markets and placing bets is straightforward and easy to do, with selections automatically appearing on the betslip once chosen. Types of bets appear as more selections are added, while the bet builder function acts similarly to the desktop site, with a secondary window opening to make picking selections nice and easy from the match selected.

Overall, the CopyBet app does enough to justify its use, but for me, it took a little while to get used to its idiosyncrasies, while issues with pages not loading fully or the virtual feed for live games not working at all does add an element of frustration, hopefully, CopyBet can address these issues.

This frustration can be seen in reviews on both the iOS and Android app stores, with the app given the following ratings out of 5, at the time of this review.

  • iOS App: 3.6 (354 reviews)
  • Android Store 2.3 (163 reviews)
Copybet mobile screenshots

Mobile Site

For those who do not wish to use the dedicated app, there is an optimised version of the desktop site available to use on mobile web browsers, with all relevant functionality and options available to users.

Issues that persist on the desktop version, such as navigation difficulties, do continue here, but in general, the site runs as well as expected, despite the odd issue.

Overall, I would suggest either using the desktop site, as navigation on the small screen can be a chore, or using the dedicated mobile app which functions a lot better.

How To Install The CopyBet App

Installing the CopyBet app on either iOS or Android devices is extremely simple, with both appearing on their relevant app stores for download.

  • Installing on iOS
  • On your Apple device, go to the App Store
  • Look for the CopyBet app
  • Click to download and install
  • Installing on Android
  • On your Android device, visit the Google Play Store
  • Look for the CopyBet app
  • Click to download and install

Does CopyBet Have Casino Games?

CopyBet is purely a sports betting site and has no casino options.

For those looking for the best of both worlds, we recommend BetUK, Sky Bet or 32Red who all offer both sportsbook and casino options on their sites.

Payment Methods

Payment methods are relatively limited at CopyBet, with the following options available for deposits and withdrawals:

VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, Neteller and Skrill

It should be noted that withdrawals can take up to 2 business days to process, although, in my experience using a bank/debit card, it was quicker.

COPYBET MULTIPLE WALLETS

New CopyBet players need to be aware that when signing up, you will have three wallets attributed to the account. A general, Sportsbook and CopyBet wallet.

All wallets are individual, with the general wallet able to be used to host funds before transferring to either the Sportsbook or CopyBet wallets

Multiple wallets for a CopyBet account seems excessive but makes sense if you use both sportsbook and CopyBet functions.

If a player wishes to make a Sportsbook bet, then funds must be added there or transferred from the General or CopyBet wallets and likewise, if you wish to follow at tipster and use the Copybet facility.

Players can view and easily switch between these accounts via the profile menu.

Switching wallets at Copy Bet

Switching between CopyBet account wallets can be done via a drop down menu in a users profile.

How Good Is The Customer Service At CopyBet?

CopyBet provides a very good customer service experience, with a help centre, live chat and email available for all types of queries.

The help centre tries its best to answer the majority of questions, while a search function allows users to find specific information.

Both the web chat and email work very well, with my questions answered very quickly. Web chat took about 30-45 seconds to get a response and answer, while my emailed query was responded to in some 35 minutes, which is more than adequate for an email inquiry.
