Just three years after announcing itself to the world, Playbook Gaming has shuttered Rhino Bet

What Next For Rhino's Sister Sites?

Rhino Bet had operated under Playbook Gaming's UK Gambling Commission license, including BresBet, Betzone and Planet Sport Bet

At the time of writing, there is no indication that these sites will follow a similar fate; it is business as usual.

Rhino Bet had previously shared a license with NRG.Bet via SharedBet, but once again, there is no indication that NRG could be in the same boat as its former sister site.

I wasn't a huge fan of Rhino Bet, but it did offer a solid betting experience, even if their betting offers and promotions were bettered elsewhere.

Rhino Bet did its best to stand out from the crowd, via interesting sponsorships and partnerships, including grassroots sports. But it didn't quite create the niche it needed to become one of the big players in the industry, which was a shame as there was plenty of potential.

"Rhino Bet didn't quite create the niche it needed"

With the many industry changes being implemented by the UK Gambling Commission in 2025, I feel that this may be the beginning of operators looking to reduce their portfolios, as new rules will begin to affect the bottom line.

Although there are plenty of online betting offers for UK players to access, it is a shame to see Rhino Bet close, as there are far worse bookies that arguably deserve to be culled, but business is business and we don't always get what we want!
