What is acca insurance and how does it work?
Acca insurance is also called accumulator insurance and applies to accumulators – such as those commonly offered when betting on the outcomes of football tournaments. There are different types of acca insurance, depending on the tournament and your chosen bookmaker.
The usual offer is a full or partial refund of your stake (normally in the form of a free bet) if one of your selected games ends in a loss for your chosen side, when you have chosen 5 or more games. The advantage of acca insurance is that you save yourself both your money and a lot of frustration if you are close to a win, but only one of your chosen teams lets you down.
There may also be conditions relating to maximum bet, minimum odds, etc. Be sure to read the terms carefully before placing your bet.
Which betting sites offer acca insurance?
Many of the larger betting sites – particularly those specialising in football betting – provide acca insurance, and therefore offer an advantage over those who do not. Always check the bookmaker in question and read the terms and conditions carefully to be sure that the acca insurance applies to your specific bet and tournament.
