Highbet is a new-ish betting site, from 2021 that uses the software of the Aspire Global group. Over the years, this group has come out with some of the sleekest and most well-optimised betting sites on the market.
The bookmaker boasts the impressive 50 sports and events, and 950+ casino games. Among the former, there is a huge selection of esports titles as well as political outcomes, award ceremonies and singing competitions.
However, despite the useful 'Quick Links' section on their sportsbook, Highbet offers, at best, average football odds and payout margins.
I calculated the payout rate by taking their odds for English Premier League and found that it is about 92.05%. In comparison, Betway offers around 93.53% and bet365 - 92.66% payout rates.
In terms of user experience, Highbet took care to make their sportsbook load quickly on both desktop and mobile and all functionalities are easily accessible - odds change from top-right on desktop and bottom-right on mobile (settings).
The bookie has a bet builder that you can find once you click into a match - for instance, if you check all markets of Chelsea vs Fulham, you will be able to build your own custom bet. The same goes for basketball, but keep in mind that I didn't manage to find a bet builder option for all sports.

- Winnings payout limited because it is a small bookmaker. Betting sites that have been around for a while have had the chance to accumulate some resources and offer big payouts, while smaller newcomers can't realistically pay in the hundreds of thousands when they are starting off.
- The live betting experience is lacking and leaves more to be desired. Normally, I expect to see some dynamic statistics and information about the teams, but Highbet's 'Statscore' integration isn't the most optimal solution in my opinion.
- No regular odd boosts. Other high-end bookies often provide special odds for certain events to keep things fun and fresh, so the lack of these is a disadvantage in my opinion.
- Many sports are offered, but there are very shallow markets for a lot of them. For instance, the horse racing markets are limited to winners only and boxing matches rarely get different treatment.
Is Highbet a good bookmaker?
Overall, yes it is. It is focused on the UK market and it does try to satisfy most punters' needs, but Highbet definitely needs some work before they can compete in the higher leagues of betting sites.
I would love to see the bookie add more depth to the platform, by providing better visuals during live games, such as streams or virtual fields. Also, they could increase the betting markets on horse races and consider improving the odds they offer.
What I like about Highbet is that the minimum bet amount is £0.10, which is low enough to allow punters of any experience to place bets and have fun exploring the large number of sports offered.
On the other hand, your maximum wager per sport varies, depending on the sport, but the bookie may limit the amount you can bet if the potential winnings go above £90,000.
Final Verdict
