England to Win World Cup Odds 2022

17/2 - England are now the fourth favourites to win the 2022 World Cup.

Some bookies have the Three Lions priced as joint third favourites along with Argentina at 7/1, but a number of firms have dropped them behind the two-time World Cup winners.

Brazil lead the way with a best price of 4/1. France and Argentina come next at 13/2 apiece.

Then it's England at 17/2 before Spain at 9/1.

When the market opened shortly after the 2018 World Cup, England were as big as 16/1 with BoyleSports, and in double figures with pretty much all other top firms.

The Three Lions' run to the final of Euro 2020 saw those prices disappear, and their impressive post-Euros form resulted in odds of 5/1, which was on par with Brazil and shorter than France's price.

However, the 2022-23 Nations League campaign was disastrous.

Gareth Southgate's men were winless in all six games, and it took until the second half of the last match against Germany for them to score from open play.

As a result, they have slipped down the betting board and find themselves behind Argentina in the market.

Given Brazil's World Cup pedigree and the quality of their current squad, it's no surprise that they sit atop the outright betting market at 4/1.

You can't begrudge France being up there either. The reigning champions, like England, had a shocking Nations League, but have the talent to turn it on in Qatar.

Argentina, the 2021 Copa America winners, have not lost a game since 2019 and have crept up the board, while Spain have stayed pretty consistent in and around 9/1.

Germany can never be counted out and might be tempting at 11/1, and other possible winners at even bigger prices are the Netherlands, Portugal, and Belgium.

With four goals at Euro 2020, he was only one goal short of sharing the award there as well.

Raheem Sterling, who scored three goals at the Euros, is a dark horse in this market at 50/1, and Phil Foden is a massive outsider at 100/1.

Group B Odds

On paper, it is not the most difficult group for England to navigate, hence their very short odds to win it ahead of Wales, USA, and Iran.

The best price you'll find on Gareth Southgate's men topping the group is 2/5, but most firms have gone even shorter than that.

You can also bet on teams to qualify from Group B, and while England are almost unbackable at 1/9, it does present some interesting opportunities to back any of the other three sides to advance to the last 16.

There is hardly anything between the USA and Wales, but Iran are clear outsiders at 7/2
